Privacy policy

In short

Who we are

Cacaboom is an iPhone game published by Mochi Studio, the controller of the app under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For any question about your data or this policy, write to us at .

Data we collect

None. Mochi Studio does not collect, receive, store on a server, share or sell any personal data.

Cacaboom never asks for your name, email address, phone number or location. It does not access your contacts, microphone, camera or photo library. The game has no server: it runs entirely on your device.

What is saved on your device

So you can pick up where you left off, Cacaboom saves a few things only on your iPhone:

This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us. It may be included in your iPhone backup (iCloud or computer), depending on your Apple settings. Deleting the app erases it.

Game Center (Apple)

Game Center is Apple’s gaming service. It is optional: without it, you can play normally.

If you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, Cacaboom sends it the score of each game (Game Center keeps your best one for the leaderboard) and your unlocked achievements. This information is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy. Your Game Center nickname and score may be visible to other players on the leaderboard, depending on your Game Center settings.

Mochi Studio never receives your name, email address or Apple Account. To sign out or edit your profile: Settings > Game Center.

Score sharing and ratings

If you tap the share button on the end screen, Cacaboom creates an image of your score on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose the app and the recipients yourself. If you choose to save the image to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add an image; the game never reads your photo library. Nothing is sent to Mochi Studio.

From time to time, Cacaboom may invite you to rate the game using Apple’s official prompt. iOS alone decides whether to show it, and your rating is handled by Apple.

No ads, no tracking

Good to know: if you agreed, in your iPhone settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. This sharing is managed by Apple and can be turned off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Cacaboom is rated 9+ on the App Store (friendly poop humor) and can be played by children. Since we collect no data at all, we collect no data about children.

A child’s use of Game Center depends on their Apple Account settings and on the parental controls (Screen Time) chosen by their parents. If you believe a child has sent us information, for example by email, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data.

Since Mochi Studio holds no data about you through the app, there is nothing to view or delete on our side: local data is erased when you delete the app, and Game Center data is managed with Apple.

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We never share them and do not keep them longer than needed.

To exercise your rights or ask a question: . You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Changes

We may update this policy, for example if the game changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If there is an important change, we will also mention it in the app’s release notes.
